Ward Haines

Linda and her brother David were part of our fantastic neighborhood.  Living across the street we attended a year of elementary and somel of Jr. High and all of North High.  The memories of childhood and the games that we played in the area brought bonding. The neighborhood 'gang' deeply missed Linda and David when they moved.  The studying for exams in Jr. High and helping one another through difficult periods such as loss of grandparents or other tragedies will be forever etched in mind.  Due to them moving from the neighborhood to various locations in the city we still attempted to keep in touch.  Our paths at North crossed in the hallways but as our lives took us to various geographical and educational places we soon lost contact with one another.  I recall wondering about her and David many years ago when others from the neighborhood had reconnected either at a highschool reunion or some other occassion.  Sharing our memories helped of how good we had it even during difficult times.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.  As Roy Rogers and Dale Evans would say, Happy Trails to you until we meet again.
