Dr. Maxwell E. Cubbage died on March 19, 2012 in his home in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  He was born November 4, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas.  He grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Graduated from Wichita North High and Friends University where he received his bachelor'degree in Education.  He attended Wicita State University earning his Master's degree in guidance and counseling.  Max earned his doctorate of Philosphy in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Max worked as a psychologist for La Crosse County from 1992 to 2011.

He s survived by his children Vanessa Kocar, Alex (Meghan) Kocar, Ian Kocar and their mother Merry Kocar
