I first met Ron 10 years or so ago as a result of a common interest in hot rods. I enjoyed his wit and common sense attitude. Wish I had known him longer.
Ron was a friend of 55 years or so.....we did a lot of crazy things together over 50 yrs or so. Darn I could tell you some funny stories.....he loved to dirt track with his cars. Then he & I both had serious illnesses a couple years ago. Ron would call me every month to see how I was holding up. Miss his phone calls, miss my old friend Ron!!!....like the song says "It's been a long day without you, my friend And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again........there is Bill Foster & Ron Sloan in this picture.
