Lee, Joe H. (Coach Lee/Papa Joe) 94, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was born and raised in Anthony Kansas and served his country in the US Navyduring World War II as an x-ray technician. Joe will be remembered for his strong Christian faith. He was a high school Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, Wichita North High teacher, active with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Counselor and Coach. While coaching basketball, football, track, cross country and golf, his teams won State Championships in basketball and track. After retiring from North High, he enjoyed a successful career as a Homebuilder and Developer. Preceded in death by parents Joe and Alma Lee, wife of 64 years Frieda Lee, siblings: Dorothy Harder, Maxine Croft, Zeta Roach, Leota Miller, Dwight Lee. He is lovingly survived by sister, Vonnie Neal; sons, Rod (Cheri), Steve (Cheryl), Doug (Sharon); grandchildren, Tania (Trey) Brown, Tymber (Jennifer) Lee, Jana ( Chris) Barscewski, Jennifer (Sean) Margreiter, Tara (Cody) Newton, Erin (Eric) Hein, Scott (Jane) Lee , Kristen (Nathan) Russell, Spencer (Trisha) Lee and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Central Christian Church, 2900 N. Rock Rd, Wichita on August 3, 2018. Visitation with family will be at 9 AM with Funeral Service at 10 AM. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at the Kechi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with Fellowship Christian Athletes, 14110 E. Twinlake Dr., Wichita, KS 67230.
